A Chia Egg (Egg Substitute) - Vegan Tips
A simple chia egg is a perfect substitute for your vegan recipes like pancakes, waffles, quick bread, muffins, cakes, and more!
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 3 tbsp water
Combine the chia seeds and the water in a small bowl. Stir well.
Wait for about 5 minutes, or until the mixture should be gel-like and thick. Then go ahead and use it in your vegan recipes.
- This recipe is a great substitute for one regular egg.
- Do not recommend Chia Egg Replacers in vegan recipes that require 3 or more eggs.
- If you don’t like black spots in your desserts because of black chia seeds, white chia seeds also work well.
